In The World of Ebber, being a wizard has a more special meaning than just selecting a class. Wizards are a foundational part of the world structure. Please see the document "Gameplay in the World of Ebber" for more details.
This is a document I created for one of my own players so he would know the steps he needed to take to activate all of his class features. It makes reference to the wizard master by name, which of course you can just edit out should you care to.
